Shop Local. Help Local. Bank Local.

The South Portland Team (L-R): Ed Bulmer, Suzanne Sweetser, Dana Tait & Ruth Morales

The South Portland branch of Norway Savings Bank is commemorating its 10th anniversary in South Portland with a two week celebration from February 6th – 17th.  The South Portland branch is located at 207 Waterman Drive in the Mill Creek Shopping Plaza.

The celebration was created around the theme, “Shop Local. Help Local. Bank Local.”  In the spirit of supporting the local community, the branch will hold a food drive for the month of February to collect non-perishable food items for the South Portland Food Pantry. In addition to the food drive, Norway Savings Bank will donate $50 for every new deposit account opened from February 6th – 29th to a South Portland non-profit organization of the customer’s choice.  Please see the branch for a complete list of eligible non-profits.

To help the South Portland community shop local, the branch will raffle gift cards to local businesses including: Wild Willy’s, Taco Trio, Anania’s, Doc Seafood, Saltwater Grille, Belissimo Salon and Drillens Hardware. Drawings will happen throughout the celebration period.

To reflect on the last 10 years, the branch staff filmed interviews customers and each other about their experiences with Norway Savings Bank and the South Portland branch. The video can be seen on YouTube.

The branch will also host two Customer Appreciation Days on Friday February 10th and 17th. The community is invited to stop by for refreshments and celebrate the branch’s 10th anniversary.
